Our Approach

At Asha, we exclusively use solid precious metals (14k & 18k gold) and natural gemstones. And we specialize in natural Ceylon sapphires.
This ensures we maintain a strong after market value for our products while also supporting sustainable artisanal mining practices and maintaining a connection to a part of earth’s history.
All our feature stones are certified as natural by the Gemmological Institute of Colombo.
Solid 14k & 18k gold is also hypoallergenic, strong enough to set gemstones in, and resistant to daily environmental factors making it perfect for daily use if cared for correctly.

At Asha, our gemstones are sourced from Sri Lanka, a country with centuries-old heritage of artisanal mining and gemstone faceting.
The traditional, environmentally friendly and ethical mining methods practiced under the regulatory supervision of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) have set many benchmarks in the international Gemstone Mining Arena.
Sri Lanka also bans the export of uncut gems ensuring that all stones mined in Sri Lanka are value added in the country, ensuring that the industry remains a vital source of income to local mining communities.
